My New Anthem, lol

Birds flying high
You know how I feel
Sun in the sky
You know how I feel
Breeze driftin' on by
You know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

Fish in the sea
You know how I feel
River running free
You know how I feel
Blossom on a tree
You know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don't you know
Butterflies all havin' fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when day is done
That's what I mean
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world
For me

Stars when you shine
You know how I feel
Scent of the pine
You know how I feel
Oh freedom is mine
And I know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me

And I'm feeling good

Chapter 1

So what is there really to say about me?  I'm 21 years old, and trust me, it really takes a ton of the intrigue out of drinking alcohol.  I'm a chemical engineering student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

I attended Lincoln-Way East High School from the fall of 2002 until the spring of 2006.  I played trumpet from sixth grade through the first semester of my sophomore year of college.  In high school my life was monopolized by band.  I played trumpet in the Marching Griffins throughout high school an I was drum major in the fall of 2005.  I find that both with high school and middle school and anything prior, I don't wish to return to any previous part of my life.  My biggest regret was never joining a choir.

I got into the University of Illinois on October 13th 2005.  My mother was so excited and was yelling so loud that my dad thought the toilet was broken.  As far as activities are concerned, I marched for the Marching Illini for two seasons.  The first season the Fighting Illini won two games including one home game against Eastern Illinois.  The second season the tide changed.  The team won nine games and went to the Rose Bowl where we were subsequently slaughtered (typical!).   Freshman year second semester was pretty much when everything changed.  First semester, my roommate, Matt, told me about a chem frat he had visited twice and got destroyed at (which for us was kinda a big deal).  Next semester came along and we went to a cookout.  Even after I had decided to pin, I was so unsure.  To cut a long story short, despite the fact that people thought I was strange, I initiated Alpha Chi Sigma in April 2007.  Since then I have been buried in school and AXE.  I was Engineering Council Representative during the 2007-2008 term and was elected Master Alchemist for the fall of 2008.  Being MA has been the greatest honor.  So anyway, I realized today that i have way too many musings to keep in my head, so I've decided to start this little blog thingie.  Sweet!!
